Operation
Target file size
The image is re-encoded as JPEG at the highest quality that fits under your target, so the output is a .jpg even when the source is a PNG. If even the lowest quality is still too large, that file is reported instead of being silently shrunk — cap the dimensions first. The minimum target is 1 KB.
Max dimensions
Scales down within the given bounds while keeping the aspect ratio. The original format is preserved, so a PNG stays a PNG and transparency is kept. Values larger than the original will not upscale it.
How it works
Add your images
Drag and drop above, or click to browse and select files.
Set a target size
Enter the file size (KB/MB) you want, or the max dimensions.
Download the result
Save each file individually, or grab them all as one ZIP.
What you can do here
Set the exact size
Type 100 KB or 2 MB and the highest quality that fits is found automatically.
Many images at once
Add dozens together and download them one by one or as a single ZIP. Only failed files are flagged.
Honest results
If a target can't be met, nothing is silently shrunk. You are told, and a smaller dimension is suggested.
Resize only, too
Set max width and height and scale down with the ratio kept. PNG transparency and the original format stay intact.
Video & photos to GIF
Turn a video or several photos into an animated GIF. Adjust FPS, width and length.
Photo collage
Join several photos into one gap-free grid image.
Whole folders (Chrome, Edge)
Pick an input folder to load its images automatically and save straight to an output folder.
4 languages
Use it in Korean, English, Japanese or Traditional Chinese.

FAQ
Can I compress a photo to under 100 KB?
Yes. Choose “Compress to a file size”, enter 100, select KB and run. If the upload form also requires specific pixel dimensions (ID photos, applications), resize first, then feed the result back into “Compress to a file size”.
Will the quality drop a lot?
Only as much as needed. The tool searches for the highest JPEG quality that fits under your target, so the closer the target is to the original size, the harder the difference is to notice.
What format is the output?
Compressing to a file size always produces JPEG (.jpg). Re-encoding as JPEG is what makes hitting a target size possible, so PNG transparency is not kept. If transparency or the original format matters, use Resize, which keeps both.
What happens if the target size cannot be reached?
If even the lowest quality is still too large, the file is reported rather than silently shrunk further. Cap the dimensions first. A suitable pixel size is calculated for you and can be retried with one click. The minimum target is 1 KB.
How many images can I process at once?
There is no limit enforced by a server. The practical limit is your browser and device. With several images you can download each result or get one ZIP.
Are my uploads stored?
No. There is no server. Images are processed with the Canvas API right in this browser and never leave your device.
Can it make GIFs or collages too?
Yes. “Video to GIF” samples a video at the frame rate you choose (the sound is not included), “Photos to GIF” builds a slideshow in the order you picked, and “Photo collage” merges several photos into one grid.
Is there a Chrome extension?
Yes. The same engine is available as a free Chrome extension. Click the toolbar icon and a side panel opens, so you can keep using it while you browse other tabs.
